THE new endoscopy suite has been officially opened by the former secretary of state for health, Stephen Dorrell at BMI Droitwich Spa Hospital.
The MP and chairman of the Health Select Committee, welcomed the investment being made by the hospital.
He said: “I think of our healthcare services as one system with the aim of offering patients the best care pathways possible. Improvements such as this new endoscopy suite is all about helping to meet their needs now and in the future.”
Jenny Liggitt, executive director at BMI Droitwich Spa, added: “We are delighted with the new suite and feel it will be a great benefit to patients, consultants and medical staff alike.
“It was also very pleasing to have someone with such a long association with health services as Mr Dorrell to perform the opening ceremony.”
