AN exhibition of photographs showing people taking part in different arts workshops, is going on a tour around the region starting in Droitwich, organised by Wychavon District Council.

The ‘Growing Old Gracefully’ photography exhibition shows photographs taken by the Shutter Crew in 2013, of people taking part in dance, craft, music and poetry workshops organised for people affected by dementia at an arts centre in Evesham.

The workshops aimed to decrease isolation, encourage socialising and help people to learn a new art form.

Jenny Davies, arts development officer at Wychavon District Council, said: “We are thrilled to give the public the opportunity to view this beautiful collection of photographs. They truly show the enjoyment and range of heartfelt emotions experienced by those taking part in the sessions.”

The exhibition is already on show to the public at St Andrew’s Church Parish Centre in Droitwich, and it will be there until Thursday, March 27, when it moves on to Droitwich Library from Tuesday, April 1 to Wednesday, April 30.

It will then be touring venue in Evesham and Pershore until the end of October.
