DROITWICH Spa's Age UK group is inviting people to find out more about keeping warm and healthy in winter.
Cold weather can cause health problems such as heart attacks, strokes and breathing difficulties. Some of that can be avoided by taking steps to keep warm and healthy.
Living in a warm home is key for older people to stay healthy in winter, and improving the energy efficiency of homes can be a big help.
Age UK Droitwich Spa, in partnership with NHS Health Trainers and Worcestershire Association of Carers, are holding a Winter Warmer drop in session on Wednesday, February 26 between 10am and 2pm.
Advice will be available on benefits, keeping homes warm, eating well in cold weather and information for carers.
Winter warmer soup and a bread roll will be available at the venue at Severn House, 32 Ombersley Street West, Droitwich Spa.
Information and tips for staying warm in winter are also available by visiting ageukds.org.uk or by calling 01905 772 126.
