HOUSEHOLDERS are being encouraged to sign up for a paperless billing system.

Severn Trent Water is asking its customers to help save paper and time by signing up for an online account which will allow them to view water bills, set up Direct Debit payments and let the company know if they are moving home with a few simple clicks.

Severn Trent Water manager, Anthony Hickinbottom, said: “We know that keeping track of your water bill is something that shouldn’t take a lot of time. We’re encouraging our customers to spend a few moments setting up an online account on our website to have instant access to their bill and lots of other services.

“When you set up an online account, you’ll automatically go paperless – this helps to save on clutter because bills will be available online.

"Also, with our new mobile website you can find out how much your water bill is or tell us you’re moving home anywhere, anytime. It’s all about making things quicker and easier for our customers.”
