CHILDREN from a Droitwich Spa school dressed up as ancient Greeks to learn about the country and culture.
Youngsters and teachers from Witton Middle School, Old Coach Road, donned costumes on Tuesday, January 28.
Pupils enjoyed a host of Greek-themed exercises throughout the day. Some took part in a war experience whilst others discovered Greek foods.
An awards ceremony was held at the end of the day to recognise the best dressed children and to highlight the best exercise events.
Claire Smith, year five team leader, said “Days like this don’t just happen. The children spent many weeks sorting out their costumes, researching their chosen area and planning an exciting experience for their peers. Visitors to the school were impressed with the children’s engagement in the high quality learning experiences planned."
