AIR cadets will be collecting information at Droitwich Library tomorrow for a history project on the town's lido.
Members of the 2516 Droitwich Squadron want to hear from people who remember the facility in the 1940s and 50s.
Cadets have been planning the project, which has been funded by Wychavon District Council, for the last few weeks and have already gathering information from old newspapers of the time.
They will now interview town residents at a special drop-in research event. It will take place at the Victoria Square building between 11am and 1pm.
Anyone who also has memorabilia items such as swimsuits from the era, old entry tickets or photos is asked to donate them. It is hoped that the project will help form a unique audio and visual display that can be shown to lido visitors when the site reopens for a new season in May.
Anyone who is interested in supporting the project can also contact Lisa Kimberley at lkimberley@hotmail.com or call 07971 675432.
