PEOPLE in Droitwich will be helped to cut their energy bills by South Worcestershire's Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB).

THE Wychavon district office of CAB will next week be offering free support to try and slash hundreds of pounds from energy bills.

Big Energy Saving Week is a national campaign running from January 27 to 31. It is run by CAB and supported by charity partners, the Government and the energy industry to help consumers check they are on the best deal, to switch tariff or supplier and to take up help to insulate their homes and reduce energy usage.

An event will be held at Droitwich Library, Victoria Square, from 10am to 12.30pm on Wednesday, January 29.

Glynis Langford, of South Worcestershire CAB, said: "During Big Energy Saving Week we’ll be helping consumers to check, switch and insulate to bring their energy costs down. We’re keen to make sure that no-one pays a penny more than they need to on energy costs. "There are practical things that people can do to reduce their energy bills and help ease financial pressure.”
