PLACES are still available for the 2014 Worcestershire Theatre Festival of One Act Plays.

Anyone who wants to submit a work can still do so.

The event, now in its 22nd year, will once again be held at Droitwich Spa's Norbury Theatre.

It will take place at 2pm and 7pm on Saturday, March 22 and Sunday, March 23.

It offers a once-a-year chance to see some of the UK's leading drama groups compete against each other in the Worcestershire round of the All England Theatre Festival.

Visitors will get to witness up to 12 groups compete and perform one-act plays in front of them and a professional adjudicator.

The drama groups will complete for various awards, including overall winner, best play, best director, best actress and best actor.

Each session will feature up to three plays. The final results will be announced at the end of the evening session on Sunday, March 23.

All tickets cost £6 per session and pre-booking is recommended.

Awards for this year's contest will be given out by David Tristam, writer of the popular Doreen's Story "mockumentary".

Anyone interested in submitting part of their production for the festival can contact Linda Evans on 01562 885073 or 07855392424.
