IT’S the last call for the stars of the future as Wychavon’s W-Factor 2014 auditions are just around the corner.

The W-Factor talent contest is back for the seventh year to give the districts 11-18-year-olds the opportunity to showcase their performing, visual and film skills.

The categories this time around are visual arts, short film, music, singing, dance, acting, photography, and circus skills. There will be a winner chosen from each category.

Two auditions will be held at the Civic Centre in Pershore at 5pm on Tuesday, January 14 and Wednesday, January 22.

The final will be held on Monday, March 3 from 7.30pm at Number 8 Community Arts Centre, Pershore.

Tickets for the final will be £5 each from the Number 8 box office on 01386 555488. Tickets are available from January 27.

Fern Canning, assistant community development officer at Wychavon District Council, said: “In 2011, Giles Potter was one of our winners and he went on to appear on the X Factor and is now singing at gigs all around the country. We are looking for young people who show an extraordinary talent and passion for the arts. Wherever their skills lie, the W-Factor will provide a great experience for those involved.”
