PEOPLE in Droitwich Spa are being offered the chance to start 2014 by learning something new, thanks to Hobbycraft’s ‘New Year, New Hobby’ classes.

Those looking to make and create will have the chance to try their hand at sewing, knitting, crochet patterns and card making. The sessions will take place at the store, based at Webbs, Wychbold, between 11am and 3pm on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays throughout January.

Each class is designed especially for beginners and will offer basic craft tips, helpful advice and loads of inspiration. Hobbycraft workers will be on hand to help people get started and will be wearing badges so customers can identify them easily and ask for advice.

The classes are open to anyone of all ages.

Store manager, Neil Handford, said: “A new year is the perfect time to rediscover a past hobby or start a new one. The skills we have picked out are all gaining huge popularity here in Droitwich and will be perfect for those looking for creative ways to learn a new skill or do something fun together as a family.

“You don’t have to purchase anything to take part either, meaning people can find out more and try a new hobby without having to splash out first.”
