A DROITWICH Spa man has been cleared of sexually assaulting a young girl.
Donald McWilliams, 63, of Vines Mews, Droitwich, denied five counts of assaulting the girl between February 2010 and May 2012, when she was aged eight or nine.
She had made the complaint after police officers and social services workers visited her school to talk about abuse, and she confided in her mother, a jury at Worcester Crown Court heard during a two-day trial.
The jury took just over an hour to find him not guilty of all five charges.
