FIND out how an apprentice could improve your bottom line.

A free event at County Hall, Worcester on November 12 will explain the benefits of taking on an apprentice.

Hear from other organisations how apprenticeships can benefit your business, by contributing to increased turnover, improved productivity, reduced staff turnover and future proofing skills needs.

Worcestershire has tasked itself with offering 10,000 apprenticeship placements by 2016 and is already on track with 7,000 places available now – a rise of 118 per cent since 2011.

Be part of the success story and find out all the information you need at the event, from financial grants to support available for employing an apprentice.

F8 Creates took on an apprentice for the first time a year ago. Hamish Gill, their managing director, said: "Our experience of the type of people who apply for apprenticeships has been very positive. We found the experience so positive that we took on two within a year. For a small company like ours it would be hard to justify any other means of finding employment."

Aamir Kayani, Enterprise Employment & Skills Manager with Worcestershire County Council, said: 'We are working with partners including National Apprenticeship Service and colleges and training providers to provide all the support to local employers who are considering taking on apprentices, to ensure that Worcestershire's economy has the skilled workforce to meet the current and future needs of employers".

Employers who take an apprentice for the first time can access £1,500 in grant cash from the Government.

The event gives businesses the chance to find out what financial support is available to employers, meet the training providers, obtain solutions to  recruitment problems and ask questions of the professionals.
