A GROUP of keen Droitwich anglers raised £1,000 for St Richard’s Hospice in memory of their friend Ted Gibbs.
About 75 anglers took part in the fishing event in Droitwich on October 19.
David Hall, who helped organise the day, thanked all those who took part and the event sponsors.
Jodi Brandwood, from St Richard’s Hospice, said: “This is a fantastic amount to have raised in memory of Ted and we all appreciate the effort put in by the organisers and all those who took part.”
St Richard’s Hospice provides free specialist palliative care for patients living with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses and supports their families. Each year the hospice team supports over 2,400 patients and family members in Worcestershire.
