Piles of pumpkins create Halloween haven
11:36am Wednesday 16th October 2013 in News
PILES of pumpkins will be making the perfect Halloween haven at Webbs Garden Centre at Wychbold for youngsters on half-term holidays.
Over 1,500 pumpkins will be delivered to Webbs, Wychbold, ready for special hands-on pumpkin workshops.
Crowds of children are expected to flock to the popular annual workshops which take place every day from Monday, October 28 to Thursday, October 31 from 11am to 4pm.
Children will be able to don an apron and scoop out a pumpkin ready for a Webbs’ staff member to carve a Halloween face. Tickets are £4.99 per child to include a pumpkin and battery tea light. Tickets can be purchased on the day.
For outdoor fun, a trail will lead youngsters on a path of discovery through the Riverside Gardens at Webbs. The free trail is open from Saturday, October 26 to Sunday, November 3 from 11am to 4pm and all the correct entries will go into a prize draw.
Youngsters will also be entertained during the week with children’s fair rides and face painting, at a small charge.
For information on dates and times visit .webbsdirect.co.uk Chairman Ed Webb said: "The pumpkin workshops are always a huge success and we make sure we have piles of pumpkins ready to go. Children just can't wait to get stuck in and have something creative to show at the end of it."
