BUSINESSES in the area could grow through export opportunities thanks to Wychavon District Council.
The council has arranged a special event so that people can find out more about the export market.
The ‘Making it – in export’ event will take place at the Civic Centre in Pershore at 9am on Wednesday, October 23.
The meeting will feature guest speaker Jenny Rohde, who is export manager at Evenproducts Ltd, a specialist in supplying water storage, emergency humanitarian and irrigation equipment around the world.
She will give advice on how to develop and manage export clients and how to make the most of export opportunities.
The event will also give advice on how to access business funding, how to conduct market research on potential contacts, and how to get the best out of the Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS), which provides manufacturing business support for companies based in England, helping them to improve and grow.
Jane Dobson, economic development officer at Wychavon District Council, said: “We want to support our local businesses and help them to grow in Wychavon. This event is designed in partnership with UK Trade and Investment and the MAS to provide information and ideas to suit all companies regardless of whether they are new to, or experienced in, the export business.”
To book a place at the event, call Jane Dobson on 01386 575278 or email email@example.com
