AN Age Concern worker from Droitwich Spa has been cleared of ripping off an 89-year-old woman by a jury.
Deborah Price, aged 52, of Impney Way, Droitwich, was found not guilty of four counts of fraud at Worcester Crown Court.
Price, who had worked for Age Concern for nine years and was based at the centre in Fernhill Heath, had been accused of using the pensioner's bank card to buy £169.60 worth of clothes from M&Co in Droitwich.
When records were checked, the purchases were accompanied by the number of a loyalty in the name of Deborah Price.
Price had told the court she could not account for how her loyalty card became involved, but insisted she was innocent, saying the clothes would not have fitted her.
After the jury returned their verdict, she was discharged.
