Brine bath campaigners start fundraising during Salt Fest
12:10pm Tuesday 17th September 2013 in News
MEMBERS of campaign group SOBBS (Save Our Brine Baths) used the town’s annual Salt Fest celebrations to launch a fundraising drive.
The group is aiming to get Droitwich’s historic brine baths reopened and used the popular occasion to promote its cause.
A play was held to highlight salt production and SOBBS had an information stand on offer throughout the event.
William Moy, chairman of SOBBS, said: “The play was very well received and we also had a lot of interest in the SOBBS stand.
“One woman came up and asked how she could help before donating £50 towards the cause. I would like to thank her for that fantastic contribution and also everyone else who supported us throughout the event.
“It just shows the support we have in Droitwich and the weight of feeling behind getting the brine baths reopened.”
