Family of man killed in collision on the M5 pay tribute

THE family of a man killed in a collision on the M5 near Droitwich have released a statement calling him a “loving husband and father”.
It has been reported that John Wood, 59 and of Birch Mews, Adel, Leeds, was on his way to Worcester Crown Court to face fraud charges when he died on Monday morning.
He was on foot when he was involved in a collision with a lorry on the southbound carriageway.
His family said: “John was a loving husband and father and will be very much missed. The family now request that they be left alone to grieve in peace."
The coroner for Worcestershire will open and adjourn an inquest into his death in the coming days.
An investigation by the Central Motorway Policing Group is underway into the circumstances of the collision and its findings will be passed to the coroner.
