Steam enthusiasts will have a lot to explore this weekend with the Stoke Prior Steam Rally and Hanbury Rally taking place at Little Intall Fields in Stoke Prior.

Visitors will be able to take a closer look at a variety of steam traction engines, including a 145-year-old small portable engine, several Showmans’ engines, agricultural engines, steam rollers and a selection of miniature steam engines and vehicles.

In addition there will also be a taster of some living history with the Lincoln County Regulators wild West group depicting American Wild West bad guys, holding up a town. The rally organisers have set up a ‘main street’ with gunfights planned by the group. There will also be a north American Indian village with a number of large displays of authentic Indian artefacts brought over from the United States, and several dance displays planned.

Classic cars and other vehicles will be on show, and animal displays, a fire eater, a wood carver, market stalls, a beer tent, and refreshments.

The steam rally is running from September 13-15 from 10am daily. Adults entry is £7, and children £3, with half price entry on Friday, September 13.
