PEOPLE in Droitwich are being urged not to miss the county’s biggest jobs fair.
Worcestershire Jobs Fair 2013 will be taking place on Thursday, September 12 at the Guildhall in Worcester between 10am and 5pm.
More than 1,000 jobs ranging from retail to social care, drivers to admin staff, designers to engineers and personal trainers to construction workers, from more than 40 local employers will be available.
Worcester Bosch, Marks & Spencer, Argos, Speller Metcalfe, Debenhams, Ringway are just a few of the top employers that will be recruiting on the day.
As part of the “Worcestershire Open for Business” initiative, Worcestershire County Council, in partnership with Job Centre Plus and Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership, is working to ensure that the county's job opportunities are available to anyone who needs a job, is looking for a new career or wants part time work.
Simon Geraghty, deputy leader of Worcestershire County Council and cabinet member for economy, skills and infrastructure, said: "Under our Open for Business agenda we are aiming to support local businesses to improve economic growth and prosperity. Worcestershire Jobs Fair is just one small, yet very important, part of that."
