PUPILS in Droitwich Spa have joined others across the region to raise more than £10,000 for St Richard’s Hospice.
Five schools took part in the charity’s Flourishing Fivers scheme which encourages pupils to become entrepreneurs and turn £5 into as much money as possible.
Pupils organised a range of fundraising activities including sponsored events, cakes sales, dog walking, and car washing to raise £10,723 in total.
Droitwich Spa High School, Briar Mill, added £1,499 toward the final amount.
St Richard’s Hospice fundraiser Lizzie Brazier said: “We are so delighted that all these pupils really got stuck in to this initiative and used their entrepreneurial skills to raise such an incredible amount of money. We are very grateful for the donations which will make a big difference helping us to care for our patients and families.”
