THE Conservatives have maintained their grip on the Droitwich Spa seats at Worcestershire County Council.
Triumphant Torie candidates have held on to the four seats that cover the town.
Councillor Pam Davey held her seat representing Droitwich East by polling 980 votes.
The nearest candidate to her was Nicole Carroll, from the Independent Ratepayers & Residents Association, who got 784 votes.
In the Droitwich West district, Councillor Lynne Duffy also kept her seat after getting 798 votes.
The closest candidate to her total was UKIP representative Neil Whelan, who polled 699 votes.
Conservative councillor Maurice Broomfield held onto his seat in Ombersley too. He received 1,292 votes compared to nearest rival Doug Ingram. The UKIP candidate polled 894 votes.
Finally, Councillor Tony Miller held his seat in the Bowbrook district for the Conservatives. He totalled 1,315 votes, beating UKIP candidate Yuleen Jewell, who got 950 votes, to the seat.
There are 52 electoral divisions in the county and 57 councillors will be elected today.
