MEMBERS of Droitwich Spa’s RSPCA branch are looking to rehome two dogs that have been with them for a long time.

RSPCA Worcester & Mid-Worcestershire branch want to find new owners for a German Shepherd named Susie and a Rottweiler called Lucy.

Susie is a five-year-old German Shepherd bitch who is looking for a quiet home as the only pet, where she can receive the love and attention she deserves.

She is very friendly and affectionate and also very obedient. She loves to play with a ball and squeaky toys.

Geraldine Haynes, volunteer dog rehoming coordinator for the charity, said: “She is quite happy just pottering around downstairs and never attempts to go upstairs. She was very well behaved for a bath and loves to be brushed every day. “She's very alert which means that she does bark a lot, but stops immediately on command.”

The branch also wants to find a home for eight-year-old Rottweiler Lucy.

She has been in kennels a long time and has not socialised a lot with people or other dogs.

“From a puppy she was owned by an elderly couple who were unable to look after her due to their ill health. While she lived with them she did not meet many people or other animals, so she is a bit wary of new people to start with,” said Geraldine.

“Once she knows you, she bonds with you and you become her forever friend. Lucy would love to find a kind understanding person to give her all the love she deserves. She needs an adult home where she is the only pet. She is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped,” she added.

Anyone who thinks they could offer a home to either dog should call Geraldine on 01886 822083.
