FOUR men were arrested in Stratford on suspicion of stealing a number plate and petrol from locations in the Droitwich Spa area.
Warwickshire Police officers detained the men in High Street, Stratford, shortly before 4pm on Friday, April 19 after their vehicle registered on ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) as it entered the town.
The men, who are aged 19, 22, 22 and 27, were taken into custody at Leamington Spa for questioning and later released on conditional police bail pending further enquiries.
Three of the men are from Birmingham and the fourth from Leamington.
The investigation will be conducted by officers from West Mercia Police as that is where the offences occurred.
