DROITWICH Spa’s library is set to offer a variety of adult learning courses.

Town residents are being urged to gain new skills by attending classes put on by Worcestershire County Council.

Course information, including the latest prospectus, is now available to view and download online at worcestershire.gov.uk/adultlearning, and is also available in libraries throughout the county.

Courses may start as early as mid-April, so interested residents are asked to enrol as soon as possible.

Some courses, designed to build basic skills towards employment, are free of charge to learners who are in receipt of Job Seekers' Allowance or Employment Support Allowance, or who have not previously achieved the equivalent of five GCSE passes at grade A-C, or a grade A-C pass at GCSE in English or Maths.

Courses on offer at Droitwich Library, Victoria Square, include French level two, which will be held on Mondays from 2pm - 4pm from April 15. German level two will then start from April 16 and run every Tuesday at 1 - 3pm.

Internet and email skills for beginners will be taught every Thursday, from 1 - 3pm, from April 25 and Spanish for beginners will run from 10am - noon on Thursdays from April 25.

A stress management course will take place on Saturday, May 11 from 10am to 4pm.

Anyone interested can call Jackie Passey at Droitwich Library via the Worcestershire Hub on 01905 822722.
