CHILDREN at a Spa school took a walk on the wild side to learn about rainforests.

Pupils from Westlands First School, Farmers Way, were visited by Dave Shaw from Rainforest Roadshow on Monday, March 4.

The visit, which included the children being shown a live snake, was part of an on-going project to teach them about rainforests and the animals that live there.

Before the event pupils were encouraged to think about what an adventurer would have to take to survive a rainforest trek and how they would get there.

Sian Lines, from Westlands First School, said: “The children have had a wonderful time learning about the rainforest. The visit has really brought their learning to life.”
