COMMUNITY groups could get a share of £50,000 after Wychavon District Council launched this year’s grants programme.
The money will be given to voluntary groups that can help make a lasting difference to the district.
This includes all aspects of community life, from buildings, sports, arts and anything that benefits the area.
Tracy Grubb, community development officer at the council, said: “We had some fantastic projects last year that helped to celebrate and create a legacy for the Olympics and this year we want to build on that brilliant community spirit with more money on offer to help communities. We’re very lucky that we can continue to offer community grants as not all councils do.”
Closing date for applications is noon on Thursday, March 28. Information can be found at wychavon.gov.uk/grants or by contacting Tracy Grubb on 01386 565168 or at tracy.grubb@wychavon.gov.uk
