Second arrest over Adrian Locke death

A SECOND man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a 39-year-old Droitwich man.

Adrian Locke, of Wych Road, Droitwich, was found by paramedics with stab wounds outside 42a Teme Road, Worcester, at around 7.20pm on Wednesday, January 2. Despite their efforts, Mr Locke was confirmed dead at the scene by a doctor a short while later.

In the early hours of this morning, a man in his 20s was arrested in Birmingham and is currently being held in custody at Worcester Police Station.

It follows the arrest on Friday, January 4 of another man in Birmingham who was also in his 20s. This morning, he was charged with three offences related to drug dealing and the possession of a firearm.

He was charged with two counts of conspiracy to supply class A drugs, heroin and crack cocaine, from 42a Teme Road in Worcester. He was also charged with an offence of possession of an illegal firearm, which relates to an offence from May 2011 in Birmingham when officers from West Midlands Police recovered a handgun.

He appeared at Worcester Magistrates' Court today and has been remanded into custody to appear at Worcester Crown Court on April 8.
