SOLICITORS in Worcestershire who donated their fees to St Richard’s Hospice for the charity’s Write a Will scheme have raised over £13,500 this year.
Solicitors participating in the September Write a Will scheme offered customers the opportunity to make a simple will for £80 for a single and £130 for a double. More than 100 people in the county took up the chance to do so.
Rachel Jones, corporate fundraiser for St Richard’s Hospice, said: “This has been our most successful year ever for Write a Will thanks to all those solicitors who donated their fees. We are also delighted people took up such a good value opportunity.”
She added: “St Richard’s relies on donations and gifts in wills to continue providing all our services to patients and their families so this scheme is an ideal way for our supporters to help us.”
Solicitors taking part in the September Write a Will scheme included Star Legal, QualitySolicitors Parkinson Wright; Harrison Clark; Painters; QualitySolicitors Thomson & Bancks; Thomas Horton LLP and Thursfields.
St Richard’s Hospice provides free specialist palliative care for patients living with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses and supports their families.
