YOUNGSTERS at a Spa school got to meet one of the world’s most celebrated living artists.
Children at Witton Middle School, Old Coach Road, were visited by Graham Short on Thursday, November 22.
Mr Short, from Birmingham, is famous for his miniature engravings that have amazed people across the globe.
The engraver come artist, who has spent almost 50 years honing his craft, has achieved international fame after writing the Lord's Prayer on a pinhead and "Nothing is Impossible" on the sharp edge of a razor blade.
To mark the Queen's Diamond Jubilee he has also engraved a portrait of Her Majesty on the head of a gold pin.
Mr Short, set up as a one-man engraving business in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter in 1974, talked to children about his work and also allowed pupils to try engraving for themselves.
