Police launch business watch initiative

POLICE in Droitwich Spa have launched an initiative to help combat industrial estate crimes.

The town’s policing team have started Business Watch to raise awareness of suspicious incidents.

Businesses are being encouraged to sign up to the scheme that will keep them up to date with information, advice and police warnings.

Firms will be sent email bulletins that will cover current issues that may directly or indirectly effect business, such as a series of burglaries, suspicious vehicles to look out for or scams.

Anyone interested in joining the scheme should send an email to droitwichtownwest.lpt@westmercia.pnn.police.uk, giving the name of their premises, a contact name, telephone number and email address.

Company details will then be added to a database that will be used to send out information to help tackle and track crime.
