Hadley and Leegomery neighbourhood policing team
- Inspector Gary Wade
Following an early career in licensing I joined West Mercia Police in 1990 immediately being posted to Wellington Police Station.
Within a short time I joined the Telford Armed Response Teams where I worked for the next 12 years prior to promotion to Shift Sergeant and a 4 year period within Telford Custody Unit.
In 2008 I joined the Force Professional Standards Department where I worked within the Misconduct arena for 5 years before returning permanently to Telford on promotion to Inspector in 2014 within the Telford Safer Neighbourhoods Team West.
- Sergeant Daniel Taylor
Following an early career in the RAF, in 1991 I joined the British Transport Police where I served across the West Midlands region.
I transferred to West Mercia Police in 1994 and was initially posted to Wellington Police Station where I remained a patrol officer until I was promoted to Patrol Sergeant in 2002.
In the last 13 years, in addition to Patrol Sergeant I have enjoyed a number of different supervisory roles. Between 2003 and 2005 I was a Response Unit supervisor with responsibility for investigating Fatal Road Traffic Collisions within Telford and Wrekin. Between 2006 and 2008 I was the supervisor of the Uniform Support Group and between 2011 and 2013 I was a custody Sergeant based at Malinsgate police station.
In August 2015 I was appointed Sergeant of the Telford Safer Neighbourhoods Team West.
- Police Constable Robert Hughes
I am PC 2465 Rob Hughes. I initially joined West Midlands police as a Special Constable working in Wolverhampton, from there I joined West Mercia Police as a community Support officer working at the Princess Royal Hospital before transferring to local policing in Hadley and Leegomery. I enjoyed my time as a CSO getting involved in local issues and finding new ways to deal with the problems that the community find important. I set up a mini moto track and a motorcycle safety scheme to prevent ASB which I was nominated for CSO of the year.
I believed I could do more to help the People of Hadley and Leegomery so I became a Police Officer, initially attached to a shift I applied for the role of Safer Neighbourhood Officer and was lucky enough to become the Safer Neighbourhood Officer for Hadley and Leegomery.
I am very much aware of what the people of my area want and I am always open to the views on what is needed. I have taken part in many raids on those who sell drugs and actively target those who cause ASB to the residents and visitors to Hadley and Leegomery.
- Police Constable Mark Morgan
I have been a police officer for twenty years, beginning my career with West Midlands Police. Upon joining West Mercia in 2001 I initially worked as a response officer covering the Telford area. Since then I have worked in Telford in various police roles including Local Policing and CID.
I am currently a part of the Hadley and Leegomery SNT team working in partnership with local agencies and the community to prevent and reduce crime in the area.
