DOWNLOAD 2017 was a weekend brimming with talent.

Not only did rock gods Aerosmith own the stage but thrash metal kings Slayer also put in belting performances.

Biffy Clyro made their presence known with a fantastic rendition of hit Wolves of Winter and a last minute dashing to Rob Zombie was one of the best choices made all weekend.

The 52-year-old year-old lit up the stage both literally and metaphorically as you could see he lives for the spotlight.

Although performing on the Zippo Encore stage rather than the main one, Rob Zombie attracted huge crowds.

Living the teenage dream, Good Charlotte and Sum 41 were positively youthful, despite more than two decades in the spotlight.

Sum 41 guitarist Dave Baksh was incredible and Good Charlotte demonstrated just how huge their repertoire is.

Alestorm proved a real treat with catchy, albeit slightly rude, tracks from their latest album as well as fan favourites with lyrics that were stuck in your head for days after their performance.

Coheed and Cambria's unique sound was beautiful to hear live as they performed the beautifully romantic Wake Up and smash hit The Suffering.

AFI, who released their self-titled tenth studio album (The Blood Album) this January, did not attract the crowds you would expected but performances of Miss Murder and Love Like Winter were extremely entertaining.

Steel Panther were lovingly disgraceful and, much to the audience's surprise, invited dozens of women onto the stage.
