THE count-down to one of the big show’s at Malvern’s Three Counties Showground is well underway.

It’s now less than a month to the RHS Malvern Spring Festival which opens for four days from Thursday, May 11.

There are plenty of special offers once again for this special weekend including exclusive access to the Show Gardens, Floral Marquee and Jekka McVicar’s new permanent herb garden, where visitors will be able to join the show’s VIP guides in small groups for early morning tours before the show opens, topped off by breakfast in the Members’ Pavilion.

Or they can join in the afternoon with all your questions for the event’s special Gardeners’ Question Time Tea.

All events will cost £25 per person including refreshments, and will give an insight into what makes a RHS Gold Medal winner.

It’s an excellent opportunity to treat yourself or someone special to a behind-the-scenes look offered by expert guides, James Alexander-Sinclair and Paul Hervey-Brookes. This tour is available Saturday only but others such as the Floral Marquee, Health and Wellbeing are available other days.

This year’s show will also have an entirely new vision that will bring the Festival into full bloom as it takes inspiration from the event’s Spa town heritage.

The landmark four-day spectacle welcomes all new features and exhibits and a vibrant line up of the finest in gardening, food and lifestyle.

Jane Furze, Head of RHS Malvern Spring Festival, said: “We are so excited to share the glorious plans that are afoot for RHS Malvern Spring Festival 2017.

"It really is going to be a sensational year for our leading event with plenty for everyone. Whether you’re a newcomer to gardening, a veteran horticulturalist or simply looking for a family day out, RHS Malvern Spring Festival has it all.

“We look forward to welcoming visitors to our stunning showcase of spring in May.”

The new vision for RHS Malvern Spring Festival takes inspiration from Malvern Spa’s Victorian heyday as a fashionable health resort – a place where day-trippers descended to take advantage of the clean air and to enjoy the health giving waters amongst the romantic beauty of the hills and into a town of pleasure gardens, assembly rooms and numerous eating-places.

What is planned promises a bountiful day out for everyone.

Plenty of celebrities will also be there such as Alan Titchmarsh, Carol Klein, Mary Berry and Valentine Warner.
