RISING UK band Goodnight Lenin have released a new single and will be playing a Birmingham show.
Portrait of Youth was released earlier week, via Static Caravan Recordings.
In suspending their celebrated US West Coast influences in favour of a harder and rockier aesthetic, the five-piece have produced a driving track powered by motorik guitarwork, weighty drums and the band’s signature harmonies.
Vocalist and guitarist John Fell said: “Portrait Of Youth is a departure from our previous mellower sound, a natural follow up from Desire which we released late last year.
"On this track, we’ve consciously stepped up the speed and noise more in line with some of our East Coast influences. We’re really excited to unleash these new tracks to our fans.
The band will be playing Birmingham's Hare and Hounds on April 2.
