POPULAR parkland running will be arriving in the region later this month when Hanbury Hall plays host to the Trust 10.

The event has been designed with the intention of getting more people outdoors and exploring special places of interest.

The National Trust is pioneering this initiative and has created a series of 10km routes across the UK which it hopes will tempt as many people as possible to take part.

Organisers of the Trust 10 at Hanbury Hall have devised a route for runners which takes in both beautiful parkland and breath taking views of the Worcestershire countryside.

The National Trust already has a number of 10km events up and running which take place across the country and are completely free to join.

The first ever Trust 10 at Hanbury Hall is scheduled for Sunday, September 25 starting at 9am and organisers intend to hold regular runs on the fourth Sunday of each month.

Hanbury Hall's Stableyard Cafe will be open especially early on each day of the run serving hot and cold refreshments, bacon sandwiches and a host of freshly baked cakes.

Sian Goodman, from the National Trust, said: "We're really excited to be taking the Trust 10 to Hanbury Hall.

"It will be a great opportunity for people to have a regular goal each month, while having the chance to visit what is a special place. The route itself will be open to runners throughout the year and it's free to take part."
