KENNETH Branagh’s Theatre Company Live cinema season continues at Bromsgrove's Artrix next month with a new vision of Shakespeare’s heartbreaking tale of forbidden love.

Branagh and his team have created a modern version of the classic tragedy Romeo and Juliet.

A longstanding feud between Verona’s Montague and Capulet families brings about devastating consequences for two young lovers caught in the conflict.

Reuniting the stars of his celebrated film of Cinderella, Kenneth Branagh directs Richard Madden and Lily James, who starred in Downton Abbey, as Romeo and Juliet and Sir Derek Jacobi as Mercutio.

Kenneth Branagh’s Romeo and Juliet is screening at the Artrix on Sunday, July 10 at 7.30 pm.

Tickets cost £15 (£13) and are available at the box office on 01527 577330 or at artrix.co.uk.
