RESIDENTS are being invited to the next performance by Redditch Choral Society.

The group, still going strong more than 50 years after it was founded, will be performing the well known Haydn’s Creation at St Stephen’s Church.

The society will be joined by soloists are Katie Leaver (soprano), Sean Clayton (tenor), Jeremy White (bass - singing by permission of the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden).

The professional orchestra is led by Peter Bridle and conducted by director of music Alma Bright Clarke

The show is on June 11 at 7.30pm.

Tickets cost £12 (£10 concessions) which includes tea or coffee, from the Christian Word Bookshop at St Stephen’s Church, by calling 01527 546735, or on the door on the night.

The society is arranging an Antiques Road show-like event on September 28 at Studley.

Henry Sandon (the local porcelain expert and TV celebrity) will combine his love of choral singing with his antique knowledge to take part in this event which will raise money to pay for the professionals involved in the June performance.
