STUDLEY Operatic Society will be presenting Annie at Redditch's Palace Theatre next month.
The show, directed byKevin Hirons, assisted by Alison Hirons, runs from April 19 to 23.
Emily Long, chairman of the operatic society, said: "The orphans are outstanding and coupled with a talented principal line up alongside a strong chorus cast, we are certain you will be thrilled with our take on Annie.
"We have pleasure in welcoming back many of The Producers principal cast and we are delighted to announce that Mike Bentley will be playing Miss Hannigan, akin to the professional show in which this role was performed by Craig Revel-Horwood."
Annie is a spunky depression-era orphan determined to find her parents, who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of a New York orphanage run by the cruel, embittered Miss Hannigan.
In adventure after fun-filled adventure, Annie foils Miss Hannigan’s evil machinations, befriends President Franklin Delano Roosevelt and finds a new family and home in billionaire Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary Grace Farrell and a lovable mutt named Sandy.
Tickets for the show (selling fast) are available from studleyoperatic@gmail.com or 01527 404696.
