FORMER harpist to the Prince of Wales, Catrin Finch, will be joining forces with the nationally-acclaimed choir, Armonico Consort for a concert at Malvern’s Forum Theatre.

The Great British Bach Off! concert will be on Friday, October 2, and will see the harpist play movements from the Goldberg Variations, which she has ambitiously arranged for the instrument.

Sandwiched between them is a selection of Bach’s hypnotic motets sung by Armonico Consort, under music director Christopher Monk, and as the ‘showstopper’, harpist and choir join together for the world premiere of Four Motets (after Bach) by composer-in-residence Toby Young, which has been inspired by these two great masterpieces and dedicated to Catrin Finch.

Conductor and artistic director of Armonico Consort, Christopher Monks says: “This is a concert blending tradition, innovation and inspiration and if you’re a fan of Bach – a mesmerising melodist and dramatist – this is absolutely the concert for you!”

The concert starts at 7.45pm. and tickets are priced £20.72-£27.44.
