Have you ever wanted to spend the evening with TV presenter Nick Owen?

Well, now is the chance.

People are being invited to look into the life and work of the TV star at the Palace Theatre.

Nick will give the audience an insight into his experiences as a national and regional television presenter for nearly 40 years.

He was one of the first faces on breakfast TV in this country, actually presenting the sport on the very first day of TV-am in 1983.

He has hosted the Olympic Games in 1988 and the football World Cup in 1990 for ITV.

He’s hosted three game shows, reported for the old travel programme Wish You Were Here and presented all the royal film premier programmes on ITV from 1986 to 1992, when he had considerable involvement with Princess Diana.

Since 1997 he’s been the popular anchor man of BBC Midlands Today.

Nick has received the Baird Medal from the Royal Television Society for services to television; he has been named Speaker of 2010 by the National Association of Speakers Clubs, is the chairman of Luton Town Football Club, a past President of Derbyshire County Cricket Club, and is an honorary Doctor of Letters given by the University of Worcester.

An Evening With Nick Owen is on Thursday, September 24 starting at 7.30pm.

Tickets are available in person or at the box office on 01527 65203 priced £15.75 (inclusive of booking fee 75p per ticket up to a maximum £3).
