RESIDENTS are being invited to join thousands of fans around the UK to celebrate 80 years of Elvis Presley and see the next best thing at Redditch's Palace Theatre.

As a fitting celebration to mark eight decades of the true king of rock and roll, The Elvis Years tour has been extended and will be coming to town later this month.

The show is a musical concert telling the story of Elvis through the years.

It features original Elvis star Mario Kombou and his incredible band, and is led by legendary producer, musical director and Ivor Novello award-winner David Mackay.

The Elvis Years features more than 50 of the king’s greatest hits including Hound Dog, It’s Now or Never, Just Can’t Help Believing, That’s Alright Mama, The Wonder Of You, Suspicious Minds and many more, as well as lesser known tracks such as Rock A Hula Baby and Bossa Nova Baby.

Mario Kombou, who has been performing as Elvis for more than 20 years, said: "We wanted to do something special to mark this special birthday and what better way than to get out there and celebrate Elvis' life by bringing the story of his life to 80 different stages across the country.

"2015 is going to be an incredible 80th birthday year for Elvis fans across the world.”
