THE 600th anniversary of the Battle of Agincourt will be marked by the Royal Shakespeare Company later this year.
Announcing their winter artistic programme the RSC says it will be continuing with Shakespeare’s histories and one of the highlights will be Henry V, which features one of England’s greatest military victories.
This Gregory Doran production will be screened live from Stratford to cinemas and schools around the country.
Other highlights include the return of Jonathan Munby’s acclaimed production of Ella Hickson’s Wendy & Peter Pan to the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, while two new plays will premiere in the Swan Theatre - Hecuba by Marina Carr, directed by Erica Whyman, and Queen Anne by Helen Edmundson, directed by Natalie Abrahami.
Meanwhile William Congreve’s glorious Restoration comedy, Love for Love, will be staged for the first time by the RSC. It will be directed by Selina Cadell.
