ARE you feeling brave?

Malevolent spirits and vengeful demons will be coming to Redditch's Palace Theatre later this month as part of an atmospheric adaptation of the ghost stories of M R James.

This one-man show includes autobiographical material from Don’t Go into the Cellar’s M R James as he brings to life a selection of his most chilling ghost stories.

The show is a theatrical performance as opposed to storytelling, with sound and lighting effects plus video sequences.

A spokesman from the theatre said: "It's classic terror with a modern edge - atmospheric, spooky and with plenty of macabre humour.

"The show is guaranteed to make audiences fear that there might be such things as ghosts, after all."

They added: "You can have your spines tingled and your bumps goosed with this adaptation of the creepiest Edwardian ghost stories."

The show, suitable for ages 16 plus, is on Friday, February 27 starting at 7.45pm.

Tickets are available in person or at the box office on 01527 65203 priced £8.75 (inclusive of booking fee 75p per ticket up to a maximum £3) or online at redditchpalacetheatre.co.uk.

Anyone thinking about attending is being urged to book soon as tickets are selling fast.
