90s pin up Gaz Coombes will be releasing his new album Matador and heading out on a European tour including a return to The Glee in Birmingham, where he previously performed a magical show with Supergrass.

Gareth Michael "Gaz" Coombes is an English musician and singer-songwriter, best known as the lead vocalist and guitarist of alternative rock band, Supergrass.

He first entered the music scene aged 16 as the lead singer of the band The Jennifers which featured Supergrass band mate Danny Goffey.

Matador, Coombes' second solo album is due for release on January 26.

The self-produced follow up to 2012's Here Come The Bombs was recorded in Gaz's home studio and Courtyard Studios in Oxfordshire.

Everything on the record was played by Gaz (except drums on four tracks by Loz Colbert, synths on Buffalo by Charly Coombes, backing vocals across the record come from Beverlei Brown and Faith Simpson).

The album features the singles Buffalo and 20/20.

He plays Glee Club in Birmingham on Monday, February 9 with doors opening at 7.30pm.
