A BROMSGROVE band are making a third foray into the Birmingham live scene.

Indie band the Hollow People, are headed up by vocalist George Stanhope and cite their influences as The Smiths, Blur and The Stone Roses.

Alongside George, the band consists of his fellow South Bromsgrove High School sixth formers, Joe Callaghan and Adam Plummer on guitar and Harry Southerton on drums. They are joined by former North Bromsgrove pupil Will Cooke on bass guitar, currently studying at Access to Music in Birmingham.

They were recently featured on BBC Hereford and Worcester Introducing radio show.

The upcoming show comes hot on the heels of the band's recent city centre appearances at the O2 Academy 3 and The Sunflower Lounge.

George said: "The Oobleck is a very prestigious venue so it's great to be playing there and already lining up more shows for the new year.

"We also plan to release our first EP in the spring.

"We have a dozen songs written so just need to get it down to the best four then get into the studio.

"We have a couple of tracks uploaded on to online music site Soundcloud which have been really well received so we're on a bit of a roll at the moment."

The event is being held from 6pm top 10pm. Tickets cost £5.
