THIS weekend will see the return of one of the world's leading pianists to Redditch.

Steve “Big Man” Clayton, an award winning piano player, will be performing a very special show at Steps Bar in Headless Cross, this Sunday, November 9 from 4pm.

Known as The King of Barrelhouse Blues, Steve has won many awards throughout his career, including best piano player by the British Blues Connection in 1995, 1997 and 1998 before leaving for the Boogie Woogie capital of the world, Germany, where he now resides.

He will be performing his signature blues, along with an eclectic mix of gospel and soul, linked together with a sprinkling of humorous banter.

As an extra special treat, support for the show will come from up-and-coming local artist Lydia Scarlett who will be offering her own quirky style of music.

Tickets for the show are priced £5 in advance from Beerweek.co.uk or £7 on the door on the night.
