BUSKERS from around the area are being called on to help entertain others and get themselves in the public spotlight – where for once they won’t be asked to “move on”.
Adrian Stone wants to hear from any buskers who would like to take part in a wide variety of events in the area, from beer festivals to rugby tournaments.
Adrian works with venues who are putting on an event, to make sure there is suitable musical entertainment on offer.
“There are lots of events where some live music would enhance the occasion far better than recorded music, but there is no budget available to provide this, which is where the buskers come in.”
The buskers can keep all the money given to them at the event, can sell and promote their own CDs if they have some, and may even get a contribution towards their travel costs.
Adrian added: “We’re looking for buskers of all descriptions whatever the type of music it is they perform. And we can also supply a small amplification system, a guitar and a couple of mics if needed.”
Most of the events take place in the Bromsgrove, Redditch and Alcester areas.
