A SHOW boasting a host of classic big band and swing tunes will be performed at Bromsgrove’s Artrix theatre on Sunday, June 7.
Five Star Swing will return for a one night appearance from 7.30pm.
Former Ivy Benson musician Simone Smith and her husband, Chris, feature in the show with songs from artists such as Frank Sinatra and Glenn Miller style jazz.
Chris Smith said: “I’ve been brought up with this style of music as my father played trombone with Frank Sinatra on his European tours. Its great that there’s a strong resurgence in jazz and swing music enjoyed by all generations.
“We were very pleased to perform for BBC TV’s Children In Need and the runners up of ITV’s Strictly Dance Fever. We’re looking forward to bringing swing music back to town.”
