RACE Retro, the international historic motorsport show, is in pole position to kicks off a new season of motorsport as it races into Stoneleigh Park from March 13 to 15.

Paying tribute to all forms of motorsport, from the historic to the high speed and the rare to the retro, visitors will see live racing, famous drivers, stunning racing car and motorcycle displays, motorsport memorabilia and indoor Pre’ 65 bike trials.

The show celebrates the 50th anniversary of Aston Martin’s 1959 World Sports Car Championship win, Mini’s success in World Motorsport, and for those preferring two wheels, 50 years of the Triumph Bonneville and racing Triumphs. Celebrity racers and riders confirmed so far include Rauno Aaltonen in his Monte Carlo Rally winning Mini Cooper, three times British Rally Champion Mark Higgins, Paddy Hopkirk, Rosemary Smith and Russell Brookes, in his championship winning Andrews Heat for Hire sponsored Ford Sierra Cosworth.

Celebrity riders include Mick Grant, former TT winner, Neil Gaunt, Steve Parrish and Guy Martin.

Slowly Sideways GB is back with over 20 genuine ex works Group B rally cars tearing it up on the Live Rally Stage on Saturday and Sunday, ranging from Audi Quattros to Porsches, Lancias to Ford Escorts, along with a demonstration of the popular Historic Kart Racing. And visitors can get a taste for exhilaration with a passenger ride in a Caterham within Stoneleigh Park.

The Vintage Wall of Death is back along with the Ace Café Racer Concours and traders offering spares, parts, tools, memorabilia, clothing and everything else you need for your motorsport collection. If all this inspires you to invest in a competition car, visit the H&H Classic Motorsport Auction.

Adult ticket prices are £20 for Friday and £15 for Saturday and Sunday when booking in advance and parking is free. Children’s tickets on Friday are £5 but free all weekend.
